Description:Abstract: One goal of this project is to enable parallel adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) in ParFlow by coupling it with the parallel AMR library p4est. We have made further modifications to transfer the management of ParFlow’s computational grid to p4est. We currently study and modify the structures enabling parallelism in ParFlow with the objective to identify and drop possibly restrictive assumptions on the distribution of the mesh across processors.
