| Description: | Abstract: An important duty in every long-term scientific research project is the management of all gained results. This has to include the sustainable storage and backup of all data including accurate description with metadata, as well as the provision and exchange of the data. The realization of such a system raises challenges and problems which need to be resolved. Therefore, this paper presents the implementation of a scientific data management system for the interdisciplinary, long-term research project Transregional Collaborative Research Center 32 ‘Patterns in Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere Systems’. Its design is mainly a combination of file management, database, and self-developed web-interface including web mapping functionalities. |
